Stockholm, Sweden – March 15, 2022: Ingram Micro today announced that it has signed a partnership agreement with Datadobi, the global leader in vendor-neutral unstructured data management software, to distribute its solutions in the Nordics region. The partnership will enable joint customers to solve the challenge of managing, migrating, and protecting enterprise data.
The sheer volume of unstructured data has skyrocketed over the past few years and now accounts for over 90% of total enterprise data today. Companies are searching for solutions to keep up with the expanding magnitudes of unstructured data as terabytes become petabytes. Ingram Micro’s distribution agreement with Datadobi in the Nordics will enable resellers to provide end users with a way to manage data both on-premises and in the cloud accurately and efficiently.
Datadobi’s software allows customers to manage unstructured data while discovering insights and putting them to work for their business. Datadobi takes the pain and risk out of unstructured data management and does it faster and more reliably than any other solution at the best economic cost point.
“Moving large amounts of file or object data is complex. This is an area that is greatly underestimated by enterprises. It is still very common to think that we have our own staff who can handle it. But the amount of “unstructured data” is growing rapidly and with that increase comes the need for safe and secure data management – whether that is migrating that data or protecting that data. Datadobi takes the risk and hassle for enterprises managing their unstructured data,” says Petter Berglund, Regional Sales Manager Norden, Datadobi.
In recent years, unstructured data growth has exploded. Only a few years ago, a typical network-attached storage (NAS) migration managed terabytes of data, and it was not particularly complex and rarely involved very important data. Today, a NAS system can hold thousands of terabytes and billions of files, which need to be migrated often between heterogeneous systems in the cloud and on-premise, all with different implementations of the storage protocols.
A software available for everyone
Over the last year, Datadobi has focused heavily on the Nordics region, and the relationship with Ingram Micro takes its activity to the next level.
“Through the collaboration with Ingram Micro, we get access to the partner landscape. Ingram Micro’s partners and resellers can build their own unstructured data management strategies with our software,” says Berglund.
With Datadobi’s software, companies that today invest in new technology for future-proof operations and storage, can not only make a safe move but also a move that they know exactly how long it will take. The software can also be used to monitor, create reports, clean up and maintain data.
“We are very pleased to be able to offer our resellers Datadobi’s software. We want to broaden our partners’ and resellers’ overall offering to their customers. They become even more relevant to their customers and can help them achieve a quick start in their new storage environments as well as a quick shutdown of the old systems “, says Niko Österberg, Business Area Manager Advanced Solutions at Ingram Micro.
